Bill, just a quick note here. Some of the families in question have serious disabilities. Others are elderly couples on fixed incomes. Still others have been the victims of recent layoffs in the tough economy.

ReplyLOL, right or wrong, it should be pointed out that high schools and colleges across Massachusetts are opting to go with turf fields because of the lower costs to maintain them and the ability to use them for multiple sports, which increases field space capability.
The town may opt to vote yay or nay on this but to argue that Tewksbury is out of the mainstream on this proposal would be inaccurate. -

billvill, just by way of a clarification ... something i neglected to put in this article. Town Meeting voters approved this project at the Special Town meeting in the fall, pending the PARC grant being awarded. The PARC grant was awarded, so here we are.

Rick, you are refering to the football playoff issue. In the case of soccer and field hockey, the issue is field conditions and, to a degree, any seating at all.

This is an easy one. After taxes, 10 percent will go my church. Then I'll take care of my sons college loans and my mom's mortgage. As for fun stuff, I think there will be much cruising in my wife's and my futures.
