Joanne Raden, Neighbor

Joanne Raden is a contributing writer for The Patch.  After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Communications, Joanne spent nearly twenty years in the marketing and advertising fields before becoming a full-time mom.  Since moving from Kew Gardens in 2005, she has put down permanent roots in Sayville (although Joanne will tell you that you can take the girl out of Queens, but you can’t take Queens out of the girl).  She and her husband believe that Sayville offers their family a sense of community and pride that they can build upon for years to come. Often described as a no-nonsense, tells it like it is, salt of the earth person, she enjoys good conversation, <i>Law &amp; Order</i> and a lobster with butter sauce every now and then.
