Weston Author Kerri Majors' Book Launch Event

Come celebrate the release of Weston author Kerri Majors' book, This is Not a Writing Manual: Notes for the Young Writer in the Real World (Writer's Digest Books). This is Not a Writing Manual is the first writing memoir with advice for young adult writers, aged 14-24, who want to know what they will experience and should prepare for as young writers.  This is a great event for young people (and families!) interested in pursuing a writing career, as well as teachers, artists, and anyone else on what Kerri calls "the long road of the writing life."  Teenagers, adults, and all are welcome to attend.  Join us for a book signing, raffle, reading from the book, Q&A, and other surprises.

Kirkus calls the book "An upbeat and honest guide for teens already considering writing careers.  Clearly, Majors knows what she's talking about, and readers will recognize they're getting advice from someone who knows."

Allen Zadoff, author of Boy Nobody, and Food, Girls, and Other Things I Can't Have, says "I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and read this book twenty years ago. It would have saved me a lot of time, grief, and paper."

The book will be available for purchase during this event.
