Weston PTO Membership Season is Underway

I am writing this to urge anyone with children attending Weston Public Schools to join the Weston Parent Teacher Organization. This year,  I had the pleasure of serving as the President of the PTO. We are so fortunate to have such a fantastic group of dedicated and capable parents helping to make the Weston Public Schools among the best in the state.

When you join the PTO, your dues pay for the following:

• Directory/calendar - an indispensable booklet that holds all the events of the year, as well as the phone numbers of your child's playmates
• Creative Arts - bringing enrichment to the classroom with visits from authors and illustrators, as well as many artists
• Math and Science - sponsoring the science fairs and math/science nights at the elementary schools
• Teacher appreciation - as a community we host annual lunches and recognition programs for our devoted teachers and support staff
• Parent Education - the PTO also pays for professional speakers to address the community on various subjects

These are just a few examples of the way in which your dues help support the entire academic experience of your children. The small amount of money you contribute to the PTO gives your student an abundance of learnedness!!
