President Obama to Attend Weston Fundraising Dinner Monday Night

The dinner is being held at a Winsor Way home.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to be in Weston today, Monday, June 25, for a fundraiser dinner at a Winsor Way home.

Judith and Douglas Krupp are hosting a "Dinner with President Obama" at 6:30 p.m., according to the Obama Victory Fund 2012 website. Tickets are $17,900, or $35,800 for a couple.

The Krupps live at 38 Winsor Way in Weston, according to public land records.

Douglas Krupp is the co-founder of a real estate investment company called the Berkshire Group, according to a Boston Globe article on Obama's fundraising stops Monday in the Boston area.

Before coming to Weston, Obama is scheduled to be at a campaign roundtable Monday morning in the South End. He'll also speak at Symphony Hall in Boston in the afternoon, the Boston Globe article says.

"Imagine" if this fraud of a president is voted out in November! Interesting that a man who is supposedly so concerned with "the middle class" did not spend time in Dorchester or Roxbury today. Instead, he goes to Weston to rake in more massive bucks. Given that Obummer's 'base' consists of illegal aliens and people enmeshed in his bloated, failed social 'safety nets,' seems odd that he'd ignore them as he tours through New England. But, then, of course, those 'folks' can't shovel massive riches into his campaign coffers. GO MITT!!!!!!!!

It's funny how it's so easy to say what OBAMA should do like" visit Dorchester or Roxbury" when was the last time you visited Dudley or even 4 corners the real inner city? Please give the Prez a break. I lived in Dorchester for over 28 years, just noticed white folks the last 2 years running through the neighborhood jogging to get fit & healthy instead of running to save their lives from being mugged. Lol hahahaha come with something better a-holes...... EAD

Jim and Eric, you are lucky you each have a candidate you can believe in. Reminds me of how I felt four years ago. "Just my imagination, runnin' away with me . . ." sang the Temptations and that line kept running through my head last night. There was no long line of people for peace. That's why I voted for Obama in 2008. He sounded like he was imagining a better world for all of us and, like many Americans, I imagined that if we voted for him, he could make it happen. I know there are many things a President cannot make better, but I never imagined drone strikes all over the planet and "Kill Lists" not to mention the dismantling of our Bill of Rights instead of Guantanamo. Americans voted for peace. We got endless and expanding global war. As Commander in Chief, Obama could have done a lot about that. That's why I was there last night, a very enjoyable evening, waving the rainbow peace flag. I doubt the President even took it in. The motorcade sped by so fast and he did not roll down his window. When I read the transcript of Obama's self-congratulatory remarks to the moneyed Weston group on dailykos.com, I could see that his own imagination, at least, was still going strong. I would say he's way too insulated from the realities of life today in the good old U.S.A. He really should roll down that window once in a while and listen.

Ms. Jancourtz: The reason President Obama did not roll the window down was because JFK was assasinated, Squeky Fromme tried to kill Gerald Ford and John Hinkley nearly ended Ronald Reagan, who "forgot to duck". Remember what the Columbian branch chief said to Jack Ryan in Clear & Present Danger when he tried to do just that before a later missile attack that killed the fictional FBI Director sent to retrieve "our money" from his college buddy, the local Attorney General? You should cut our President some slack, instead of just posturing. Obama inherited a fiscal and financial mess, avoided a second Great Depression with no help from our irresponsible European allies, pushed for health care reform which may soon be shredded by Supreme Court judicial fiat, and supported Wall Street reform with no support from Republications who used procedural strategies, like the Senate filibuster, to block progressive initiatives to try to ensure he was a "one term President" (Mitch McConnell). You may be disappointed that President Obama is a mere mortal and tries to compromise when his opponents want to remove him, but he has to raise mioney to defend himself from the coming wave of attack ads since the US Supreme Court opened the floodgates in their Citizens United decision. Do you prefer Mitt Romney, who wants to treat Russia as our main enemy and restart the Cold War? William C. Crum

Who's that dippy dame with $$$ bills & STOP THE WAR! stickers on her headband, waving the rainbow PEACE flag? Oh yeah, that would be me, waiting for President Obama to drive by on his way to a Weston fundraiser. It was nightfall when he finally showed up, preceded by 100 motorcycle cops, a magnificent sight, albeit needlessly wasteful and over the top, sort of like our foreign policy. As I was trying to say on route 20 that long day's journey into night, "Mr. President, our endless wars are sinking our economy. Can't we just stop it already?"
